Thelen Park

Thelen Park was redesigned to expand recreation opportunities and integrate the site with its natural surroundings. A new playground was incorporated into earthen mounds, creating a dynamic play environment that blends with the landscape. Additional amenities include new pickleball and volleyball courts, as well as expanded parking to support increased use. Native prairie plantings and wetlands were established throughout the park, enhancing ecological value and creating a natural setting for recreation. The combination of active program areas and restored landscapes strengthens the park as a community resource while promoting both recreation and environmental stewardship.
